Stop Error " This driver may be at fault cdr4_2k.sys"

After creating a DVD with Nero Express 6 and subsequently resarting the above
error message appears and reappears with each reboot. Microsoft Support
document indicates this may be a conflict with Roxio cd burner part of
Windows Media Player series 9 for w 2000 professional and Nero.

Contacting Roxio for latest plug-in-update, as suggested by Microsoft, does
not reveal an update nor a reference tp the article PLG000001 nor an update
to this driver.

Suggestions?
 
Please post a complete copy of the Error Report.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

Part of the Description of the error will include a link, which you
should double click for further information. You can copy using copy
and paste. Often the link will, however, say there is no further
information.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event Viewer.
Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of the
message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error Report.
Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer.

Something I might have suggested earlier.

Can you please provide a copy of the Stop Error Report?

I suggest you Disable automatic restart on system failure. This
should help by allowing time to write down the STOP code properly.
Right click on the My Computer icon on the Desktop and select
Properties, Advanced, StartUp and Recovery, System Failure and uncheck
box before Automatically Restart.

Do not re-enable automatic restart on system failure until you have
resolved the problem. Check for variants of the Stop Error message.

Now repeat what you did to cause the first error.
