Stop Error Messages

Isn't there a site where you can enter an error code and you can find out
what it means and what to do about it? I have been searching for days and
days to no avail. I keep getting a stop error code whenever I log on:
"Direct CD.EXE-Application Error" "The application failed to initialize
properly (Oxc0000142). Click OK to terminate the application." I believe
this occurred when i upgraded from Windows ME to Win XP Pro. It won't let me
remove in add/remove either.

Direct CD is a component of Easy CD Creator. If you had any version under
Version 6 of Easy CD Creator or Version 6 with the appropriate update from
Roxio, www.roxio.com, your version of Easy CD Creator should be removed as
it is not compatible with XP.

MVP Jim Eshelman has a web page for STOP errors at
http://www.aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm

Your error is listed, and as others have indicated it is a problem
with your Roxio software.

Good luck
