Stop: c000021a {Fatal System Error} message

Kindly help me in fixing my son's notebook computer, it has this message and
it won't boot. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Troubleshooting stop errors is covered in a number of places - you can
google for that information. Usually, it is the fault of a recently
added program that has mis-behaved. These are typically Video drivers,
Virus scanners and CD/DVD applications, and other non-trivial apps.
that install kernel drivers for the file system, network or other
devices (USB etc.). + CD/DVD filter drivers.

Hold down F8 as the notebook boots, select "Safe Mode" from the popup
menu. Does it start ok in "Safe Mode"?? If it does, - uninstall any
recent video drivers, games or printer/scanner etc. software to help
isolate the problem.

I also recommend opening a command prompt (from Accessories) and type
in chkdsk /R and hit enter - then 'y'. The C drive hard disk will be
checked and repaired on the next re-boot. Takes awhile - go watch a
movie while chkdsk /r is running!

First, you need to rescue any data on this Hard drive (that if you have
valuable data?).
Then Try to download the Diagnostic tools from the HDD manufacturer website
to test the health of HDD, it may be having a bad/dirty cluster/bits that
causing this issue and normally running chkdsk /r will correct this error.
Then get your XP CD and perform a chkdsk /r from a recovery console or try
the Repair/Install of XP.
