stop: 0x0a,0x8e,0xd1,0x50 & 0x23 errors during WinXP setup.

I started getting these messages over 3 months ago. I
changed video adapter card, tried new memory, pulled only
PCI device out(modem),reformated my 2 harddrives, tried to
reload WinXP Pro and Home versions but I can't get
past 'hit enter to setup WinXP' screen. Keep getting stop
messages. I even bought a new motherboard! Still the same!
A couple of times the following files were listed in the
stop message text: atapi.sys & setupdd.sys. Getting very
frustrated.

Thanks, in advance, for any help.

Thanks Mike.

I already have heatsink and Volcano fan. Processor temp
stays about 110-120F. Problem will happen when processor
is cold at powerup. Any other suggestions anyone?

try running a chkdks on your hard drive, and the other thing is the
porcessor maybe damaged as the errors your getting are all over the place
and not related
