Sometimes when I start my computer it loads up to the screen with the

restarting it says to send an error message to Microsoft and the details

Hi,

They may not be related. The first error, 0x7E, is sometimes caused by out
of date logitech keyboard or mouse drivers.

The second appears to be sound card related.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
The keyboard and mouse I have is a Microsoft Natural keyboard and a
Microsoft basic optical mouse. I am just using whatever default drivers come
with Windows XP SP2 - should I install the actual drivers for these devices?
(the basic mouse has an annoying problem where it sometimes darts to the
other side of the screen). This computer did come with a 'Trust' brand
keyboard and wireless optical mouse (sensor in the keyboard), but it didn't
seem to have any custom drivers for the keyboard or mouse so I just replaced
with the Microsoft stuff - could this maybe cause the problem?

The sound on this is on the motherboard - it is Realtek AC'97 and is
configured for 5.1 sound and according to the MSI site I have the latest
drivers :o/

Hi,

Yes, you should update the keyboard and mouse drivers, search for them here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads

You may need to wait for MSI to supply properly updated drivers that are
compatible with SP2 to resolve the other issue.
