Stolen programs and laptop

There was a break-in at my office. The thief stole hp
laptop and all software (approx. $5k). I had registered
with MS. Does anyone know if MS will replace the stolen
software if I verify the breakin with a police report.
The building manager and office manager where my small
business was located have both refused to replace the
laptop (I have since purchased a used one)and software. I
know this not likely, but I thought I'd give it a try
anyway.

But I think it was all stolen with the laptop, include it in the
insurance claim.
