still receiving error msg when sending email

Tried downloading update from link and still got error message so then I
changed my default addess to my comcast address and still got this message:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account:
'comcast.net', Server: 'comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL):
Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

You should keep to your original post.

Anyway you said you are using MacAfee. Uninstall it and then re-install it without the email scanning option (email integration)
Disabling the scanning might not work with MacAfee so that is why the uninstall and then re-install so the email integration(scanning) will be disabled properly.

You should really look into getting rid of MacAfee (Norton and Trend)has the same issue's and install something like Avast,Nod32,Karpensky,Avg and all those should not have the email integration set as I posted above

Comcast no longer uses port 25, they now use port 587.
Tools>accounts>your account>properties>advanced tab.

You even managed to enter the incorrect server name.

It should be smtp.comcast.net ---Tools>accounts>your
account>properties>server tab.
