Thanks for link, could u help with navigation please.
When I open `command prompt` It has the following...
C:\Documents and settings\John>
To get to the file I want to delete I go...
Start\My computer\documents which contains the file I want to delete
(report html 2 kb)
I don`t want to mess this up so how/what do I type after John> and I presume
as a continuation of this line.

thanks

You might want to try booting to dos and deleting the
file. Also a trick the may or may not work is renaming
the file and then delete it.

Have you tried going to the DOS Command Line Prompt and
deleting it there?

Paul, Yes I did but not too sure how to do this and desktop went on to safe
mode! I went to command prompt but not sure what to type.

Scudo

Have tried this from command prompt and safe mode, but first I done
start\search and when the file I was looking for appeared on the list I took
the location from there, which was ....C:\Documents and settings\all
Users\Documents....
When I typed this and entered I got message....
"Filename, direct name or volume label syntax is incorrect"
I presume its something I am not doing correctly
Any suggestions/
thanks
