still not working : MOH and ATI 9800 pro

Thanks for the help/tips two of you guys gave me, but it's still not
working. MOH:Breakthrough is still way too dark. I thought that maybe it
was just breakthrough, so I reinstalled MOH:AA and same results. I am so
upset that I am seriously thinking of trashing ATI again and going back to
NVIDIA which is a shame because this card rocks in BF1942.

I have a 9800 pro ATI card. First ATI card I've ever owned. Whenever I go
to play MOH, the screen is way too dark. So, I go into the video section of
MOH and set the brightness all the way up, but the game is still way to
dark.
I have set my brightness and contrast on my monitor all the way up, and
still the same thing. Even set the brightness and contrast all the way up
in the control panel -Color-fullscreen up and still the same thing. This is
a quake 3 engine based game. Any hints on something else I might try?
Thanks.

adobe gamma loader at atartup?

That'll only sort the desktop won't it? Aren't the gamme settings for
OpenGL and DirectX seperate? Or is that just a driver thing?

there have been some problems with older versions of the loader interfering with the 'resetting' after the game is closed,,,I would
think there could be other problems unforseen.

That's weird...I have a built-by-ATI 9800 Pro running the Catalyst 3.7
drivers and have no problems with brightness in any of the MOHAA games. I
can only imagine that some other program or tweak you have installed is
affecting it. I did not see the original thread, but have you tried a
program such as RefreshLock 2.02 and try running the game with different
refresh rate settings?

The latest Omega drivers give you separate gamma etc settings for desktop
and for full-screen 3D - works well here. Shawk.
