still need help please!!!

still desperate here.....attempting to (re)install xp pro (upgrade)....here's what i've been doin

delete partition on 160G hd on controller car
partition hd, primary do
using windows setup floppies, setup begins, formats hd, begins copying files, then freeze
sometimes at 5%, sometimes 17%, sometimes 31

have also tried deleting partition, making new partition,
using setup cd, setup begins, formats hd, gives me a stop screen SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED with STOP: 0x0000006F (0x0000020, 0x00000000, 0x0000000, 0x00000000

full hd scan with western digital utils says it is fine. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Did you check for hardware compatibility?
You should boot& install from CD rather floppies.
Did you flash your m/b bios with most updated version?

well....i didn't recently because i did before i bought xp, hardware was fine, got xp, installed fine, ran fine for 2 months. mobo bios is up to date, as far as i know, and i can't flash it without an os, can i? i have also tried the entire process with 98se, no such luck. freezes during file copy. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would think that was crap and just think you need to press F6 during the
first part of the install to install your controller card drivers.
