Still can't see my local computers

From the entire network I can see all computers, but not this one, Vista Premium.

This is my ipconfig /all from this computer:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix: hsd1.XX.comcast.net.

Description: Intel(R) 82566DM-2 Gigabit Network Connection

Physical Address: 00-19-D1-XX-XX-XX

DHCP Enabled: Yes

IPv4 IP Address: 192.168.1.XXX

IPv4 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Lease Obtained: Wednesday, December 05, 2007 9:17:07 AM

Lease Expires: Thursday, December 06, 2007 9:17:06 AM

IPv4 Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

IPv4 DHCP Server: 192.168.1.1

IPv4 DNS Servers: 68.87.71.226, 68.87.73.242

IPv4 WINS Server:

NetBIOS over Tcpip Enabled: No

The only difference I see is NetBIOS not being enabled and for the life of me, I can't turn it on. I tried all the standard fare, like in the WINS section checking the enable bottom.

Is there a way to do it manually in the Registry?

Thanks

In vista Network and Sharing, have you turned on Network Discovery?
And made sure Vist'a workgroup name is the same as the other machines?

I used WORKGROUP for as long as I can remember, never went for MSHOME. This
is a dual boot computer and when I go back to XP, the network works great.

Yes, the discovery is on.

PS I run a program from Linksys (router maker) called EasyLink Adviser and
it see's all the computers on the net.

It is Vista and I am ready to re-install or dump it all together.
