DNS error? blocks IE and others

I have vista home premium media center edition. When I got it, it worked, but
recently I cannot do some internet functions. It does some things like the
windows update--seems to be things that have hard-coded addresses. But I
cannot browse any internet sites. I also cannot access my router on this
computer even when I type in the address (192.168.1.1--it is a linksys
BEFSR81 ver 3.1 which is supposed to be vista compliant).
The other computers on the network work fine, and it seems to be able to see
one other computer (displays the name) but can't see any actual shares.
This is what I get with ipconfig/all:

If you have McAfee installed, uninstall it and install AVG Free. We had this
same issue and this what resolved the problem.
