Still cannot send email out

Are you trying to set up a Hotmail account in Windows Mail?
If so, what country are you based in? Until recently, free Hotmail accounts
had webmail access only, but some countries were given POP access
earlier this month, and US residents will get it next month.

I tried the download and got a message saying it did not apply to my system.
I am using Windows Vista 32 bit and can receive from my Gmail account (in
fact it receives everything several times, but that is another issue) but
cannot send. I get this error message: An unknown error has occurred.
Subject 'Office Notebook', Account: 'pop.gmail.com', Server:
'smtp.gmail.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '421 Cannot connect to
SMTP server 209.85.199.109 (209.85.199.109:25), connect error 10060', Port:
25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 421, Error Number: 0x800CCC67

Gmail doesn't use port 25 for SMTP (outgoing).

Did you look in Task Manager and clicked "End process" for
"winmail.exe" first?

error message. You may think your error message is the same as
someone else's, but there are subtle differences that only an expert

Not sure why I am bothering to respond to your problem, after such a
CHILDISH rant.

Without giving us to much to go on, it sounds like you need to go to the
tools menu>accounts>select your account>properties>connection tab>remove the
tick from "always connect using", mow WM or WLM will use any connection
available.

Please turn off the caps lock key if you reply, thank you.

Speaking of not having a clue, there seems to be a correlation with
not realizing your Caps Lock key is stuck.

If you need help with a specific issue, just ask. Ranting does not
help anything.
