Still a delay when unlocking workstation

Ok, I've seen a previous post regarding this issue and it was suggested that
he follow this MS article:

160839 Delay Occurs When Unlocking Workstation
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=160839

I tried this too, however, it did not correct my problem. If my machine is
locked via Ctrl+Alt+Del / lock or by screensaver, attempting to unlock
results in a hang of a minute or more. I've stopped services a few at a
time and then tried the lock/unlock with same results. Got down to about 5
services (Server, Workstation, winlogon.exe, etc.)... Still hangs. I've
also reinstalled SP4 and still no success.

The odd thing about this is that initial logon loads profile and settings
and logons in with no delays whatsoever. The problem is strictly unlocking.

Anybody have any other ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

Perhaps the problem is on the hardware,,, review the power options, may be
the disks are turned off

Not hardware releated or power related. This happens in an instant. I can
CTRL+ALT+DEL and click LOCK. Then I go to unlock it and it hangs.

Thanks though,
Mike
