i got a question i am running windows 2000 pro. now i am
wondering is there any way that i can log in under
administrator and sign on to aim under 1 screen name, then
switch to a different user such as (tyler) my brother and
stay signed on to aim under administrator and log onto
tyler and then sign on under a different sn useing aim+ or
dead aim. i am connected by DSL and i share my computer
and i was just wonderinf if that is possible. Everyone is talking about the reg. i am not useing a dial up connection it connects automaticly threw a westell DSL modem with a built in 4 port router. if you have anything that can help besides that one gre. thing that everyone said about addint the keepRASconnection thing that dont work i tryed and i am running windows 2000 pro not XP. pleas help me e mail me at (e-mail address removed) if you can help or whatever

If you get a hardware router/firewall to make the connection for you, you
shouldn't have any problems. With ADSL & PPPoE, it will log you off when you
log off, as far as I know.

Note - posting your valid e-mail address in a newsgroup post, or in your
news account settings, is a surefire way to get spam and SWEN and other
viruses sent to you....see http://www.mailmsg.com/SPAM_munging.htm for help
in the future, but note that now that your address is out there, there's not
much you can do other than changing your address.

well my router does make the connection for me i am always connected without any dialing and it will still sing me off aim when switching users even though my computer still shows that it has disconnected me when i go ingo the LAN icon and see how long i have been on when i switch users it startes back at 0 which it has been disconnected i put a KeepRASconnections in all of my registrys and it still signs me off.
