Status Bar issue

okay, i know how to turn the status bar on and off from the view menu. that
is not what i am writing about here.

ive noticed, that when i have one window of IE open, where the status bar is
on, if i either open a new window, CTRL-N, or click a link that opens a new
window, that the status bar is automatically turned off. this is quite
annoying! sure, i know, all i have to do is go the the view menu and turn it
on again, but, in the least, if i manually open a new IE window, i want IE to
copy the settings of the initial window, including having my status bar
already showing. i shouldnt have to restore my favorite settings in all
future windows. why does IE just turn it off like that? is there a way to
make IE keep the window settings of the initial, first instance of running
itself, in running all newer, cascading windows?

Hi Jon while selecting to Status bar from the View Menu, Right Click on an
Empty space on the Toolbar and from the Drop down list select * Lock toolbar*
next time you will find the Statusbar hopefully.

hey,

i right clicked and the toolbar was already 'locked'. anything else??
