Static Route to COM1

Hi,

I want to setup a static route in on a Win2K Server that sends all traffic
on a subnet to COM1 where there's a modem connected. However, I don't want
this to be dial on demand. If the connection is not up I don't want the
server to force the modem to dial.

Is there a way to do this in RRAS?

Thanks in advance,

AndyMac.

Yes, that is OK. Dial on demand is optional. You set it up just like a
demand dial connection using a demand dial interface. You link the route to
the demand dial interface by setting it up with the new static route wizard.
You clear the box "Use this route to initiate demand dial connection" in the
static route dialog box. The route becomes active when you manually connect.

Note that the route actually points to the demand dial interface. The dd
interface name is like a symbolic name for the connection.
