How do I limit the number of programes (at the bottom
right near the clock icons)loading after my windows
startup? My windows startup takes a long time because
there's so many other program being run upon my startup. I
just want the crucial program to startup like norton
antivirus and not others like msn and icq.

The option to run a program at start up is usually contained in that
programs options. If not, go to Start/Run, type msconfig and press OK.
Click the Start Up tab and remove the check mark from the programs you don't
want to start at boot.

Open the start menu, click run, then type 'msconfig' and
hit enter. The menu that comes up up, click
the 'startup' tab, this will show you a menu with all the
startup programs, select the ones you want then restart.
