Hey all, I am having some problems with WinXP Home
Edition. I recently upgraded the system with every update
on the MS website (including SP1 and Media player9 and
directx9.0b). After doing these updates the computer
restarted once perfectly but after it was left off for a
couple of days it would not start. it runs through the
windows startup screen and then suddenly flashes a blue
screen of death and restarts into the option screen for
safe modes/last known good config/normal startup.

The system is:

epox 4g4a mobo
celeron1.7GHz
128MB RAM
20GB HDD
onboard sound & video
Win XP Home with all updates

First thing i would try is going into safe mode,
scan and defrag.
See if that straightens things out.
