startup problems

computer starts up and gets to the user screen and then
shuts down and does the same thing agian. anybody have
any suggestions on what the problem may be

Hi!Dale!
to know the exact error do the following:-
Start > Right click on "My Computer" icon > Select Properties > Advanced

Settings under Start up and Recovery > uncheck "Automatically

restart" option under Sytem failure > ok > reboot.

thanks for the info but can I do this from safe mode
because I cant get to my computer because the computer
keeps restarting
