Hello All,
The problem I have is that when I boot up my PC all is well XP loads fine,
no error messages, however when it has booted the mouse is frozen as well as
the keyboard so i have to turn the off PC off by the switch. Then the next
time I boot up it works fine. This happens everynow and again.

Some feedback is much appreciated.

Thanks verymuch

Simon,

Look for an updated driver if your mouse is a couple years old. Or reinstall
your mouse driver from Device Manager (right-click your mouse & 'Uninstall'
reboot). If you find an updated driver then follow instructions during the
'Add Hardware' process after uninstalling & rebooting and point it to the
new driver. Good Luck.

Instead of rebooting try unplugging and replugging the USB
kybd and mouse to see what happens.

Have you recently updated your graphics drivers? As your kb and mouse wont
work, who's to say your system hasn't crashed?
If you have updated your drivers, minimal boot and uninstall them.

Dave

Yes Dave i did update my graphics driver nVIDIA is it?
Does that have an affect? If so what should i do reinstall both mouse and
keyboard for new drivers?
Thanks

Simon

Just uninstall the new graphics drivers and reinstall the old ones. nVIDIA
drivers are notorious for sh*gging the XP OS when updating. The reason I
suggested the graphics drivers is, it happened to me with updating the
nVIDIA drivers!

Leave the kb and mouse drivers alone, it sounds like the graphics.

Good luck

Dave

Amen. Add me to the [huge] list that has had problems with the new nVidia
graphics drivers.
