Startup problem

Beth

When I turn on my computer and it starts to load Windows
XP I receive a message that says: The procedure
point_GetIUMS@4 could not be located in the dynamic link
library MSDART.DLL. Above this is a header that states:
SPRINGFLD_ADV_DAEMON: Wks.Cal.exe-Entry point not found.

I have tried finding the exact phrase at Microsoft's
support website but have had no luck with this exact
phrase.

Please help! Thanks

If you examine it closely, you'll see Wks.Cal.exe. I would
assume this is a reference to the Calendar app in Works.
Wks is generally associated with Microsoft Works.
Run MsConfig, to locate any entry that references Calendar
of the string "wks.cal.exe". Uncheck that item and reboot.
This will disable the calendar watchdog from starting. You
may still need to run the Works setup to repair whatever
component is missing from your install.
