startup problem

Every time i restart my machine i have problems with
IE.when i click on my home page it will open the page
numerous times,sometimes over 100 . If i go to my start
button then move my mouse it autamatically opens the
first item it sees . I have checked for viruses and
none are detected. Please help me out.
