Hi,

I've just installed new IDE cables on my PC and swopped round the drives (2x
HD & 1 DVD-RW, 1xDVD-ROM).

However, when I now start up I get the following problem in about 1 in 3
restarts. It POSTS fine but just before bringing up the desktop it displays
the message:-

Lsass.exe - System error

'An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. The
Registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that
contain the system's image of the Registry'

You then have to click on OK and the system reboots and loads up fine.

Like I said, I get this error about once every 3 start-up's.

Can anyone explain what it means and how to solve it??

Thanks
