startup folder crushed

Now shortcuts put in the startup folder don't start. how to correct it? :'( Maybe It's because last time I tried to move the
<user name>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder to All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder and got a error warning saying I can't do that.

Type regedit in Start Run

Make sure that

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserShell Folders
startup=%USERPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
startup=the full path to the folder.
