startup does not work in access 97

I recently created a database to go in a multiuser environment. I have
utilized the security somewhat. I set the database to automatically startup
with the switchboard and with a specific application title. Some how the
operators have corrupted the database so that it does not use the startup
information, even if I go back and fill it in again. As soon as the database
is closed it loses all of that information. Is there a way to correct this
problem?
 
I havent heard of that problem, try and create a macro instead called
Autoexec and call the form from there and see what happen. Replace the start
up with macro, and see if you still have a problem
