i creted an ms-dos startup diskette on xp pro, itried to
use it and i get something like the message "command.com
is missing, type in the command.com interpreter " what
does it mean and what do i do. thanks

The Windows XP CD itself is bootable and is a Startup Disk.
It has all the necessary tools to repair XP in the event of an
unlikely failure. However, you can make your own bootable
floppy disk if you so desire:
