I have an office that has 25 old pcs that have a terminal services client
loaded onto the hard disk which boots into terminal services and they act as
thin clients they do not load an OS.
My question is, is it possible to have these machines shut down at 6 each
evening and start automatically at 8 in the morning they connect to a 2003
terminal server on a 2003 domain.

I have done this in the past by using the shutdown command to close machines
and use the bios to start the machines.

However the shutdown command wont work as they are term services clients and
the bioses dont have startup option.

Thanks for any help.

Have you tried using the "-f" switch with the shutdown command?
This should close the TSC application before shutting down.

As to starting the machines, you could use one or more of these:

....and set the BIOS to start the computer when the mains comes "back"
online.

Just realised - if this as a non-windows tsc just forget about my "-f"
comment and use the mechanical switch.
