Starting programs

I've seen this before and don't remember the fix. I know
it's in the regestry. when you start a program like
msconfig it starts then stops. what's the fix?

If you open msconfig or task manager and it opens then immediatly dissapears
then that points to one of several viruses that do this. Do a virus scan
with an updated anti-virus program.

It did have virus's and I removed them but I think
something is left in the regestry. If you run it in safe
mode it works.

I suggest you visit symantec.com, look up the virus you had, and do the
manually removal using the instructions provided.
