Starting Outlook

When I try to open Outlook, I get a message box that says, "Connection to the
Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to
complete this action." Then after I click on "OK", I get another box that
asks for the Microsoft Exchange Server and the Mailbox. Lastly, after I
click out of that another message box pops up and says something to the
effect of "Unable to open your default mail folders.....it's not an offline
folder file. If anybody has any clue as to what I'm doing or not doing
that's making this happen I would GREATLY appreciate it! Thank you for your
time.

So do you actually use Exchange as your mail server?

Did you enter the UNC to specify the Exchange server, the one in which
the mail admin defined *your* mailbox?

Either that path did not point to a host that was running the Exchange
mail server or you specified an Exchange mail host where your mailbox is
not defined. Talk to your Exchange admin on how to configure Outlook.

If you are not using Exchange as the mail server then don't define an
Exchange account in Outlook. Use the Mail applet in Control Panel to
remove that account.
