start up

i recently upgraded from windows 98 to xphome and a
programme migrated over with it that i don,t want to use .
the programme starts up automaticly when i turn on my pc .
can anyone suggest a fix for this ??????????

Hi,

Go to Start/Run and type in: msconfig. Go to the Startup Tab and uncheck
accordingly. Then run this script to remove the disabled items from the
registry.

Clear Disabled Items from Msconfig Startup (Line 148)

Is it listed in Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. If yes, try removing
it there.

If no, what is the application, is it a Windows Application or some an
application you installed on your previous setup? Is there some reason you
didn't remove it before upgrading to XP?
