start up

When turning on or rebooting my computer .during the
startup the same old programs pop up and I dont
nessecarliy want them to. How do I get that to stop during
startup and then putting programs I use the most and have
them popup at start up time? I am a rookie at this so I
hope someone sees this and understand what I am saying
because I dont. Appreciate any and all help.

Hi Darren,

Go to Start/Run/Msconfig/Startup and uncheck the programs you don't wanting
starting up when you boot.

Run msconfig <Start><Run> & review the Startup tab. You
can uncheck the checkbox for anything you don't want
starting. To add other programs at Startup, exit out of
msconfig & go to C:/Documents and Settings/Program
Files/Startup/Start Menu....or something close to this
and place shortcuts to the programs you want launched at
startup. Good luck.
