start up program - how to stop it

Using xp and in start>all programs>Startup> HP Scan Utilities, HP Scanning
Help which always show up upon booting. I dont want these to show up upon
boot. I uncheck everything in msconfig, it does not help. How can I stop it
from starting during the boot up, please.......... thank you (sorry post
under the wrong forum minute ago)

Hi Hillary

If it's showing in the Startup folder of your Start Menu, there is
probably a shortcut in one of these folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Documents and Settings\Yourname\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

If the shortcuts for the HP programs are there, just delete them.
