Start Up/Shut Down

On start up get message "Windows cannot find (file name). Make sure you typed
the name correctly and then try again. To search for a file, click the start
button and then click search." I have a list of about 25 files-usually get 2
then start loads fine. On shut down-get sgtray error-so shut down not smooth.
I did have about 5 Trojans detected by Mcafee-files deleted. Problems started
not to long after that. XP was loaded on my system but I do have my 5
Recovery CDs that I burned per the instructions when first received computer.
Anyone, help or suggestions?

Hi,

SGTray might be related to Veritas (DLA?) application

How to manage Windows Startup?:

FYI, I have only 5 items loading from startup, all of them are essential (AV/Firewall/DSL Modem related etc). I can launch additional ones manually, if and when required.
