How do you change the programs that automaticly start up
when you boot up your computer?

Check the options of the programs that you don't want
to start many have a check box to stop them,if that
doesn't work try start>run and type in msconfig the
startup tab is on the right uncheck what you don't want
and reboot.Keep in mind some programs will renable
themselves if opened Quicktime does this
 
in the start menu, click run..., type in "msconfig", go
to startup tab and uncheck the programs you don't want to
start up, reboot.

On each program you don't want to start automatically, check its
Options to see if it has the choice not to start. Many can easily
and best be stopped that way. If that doesn't work, run MSCONFIG
from the Start | Run line, and on the Startup tab, uncheck the
programs you don't want to start automatically.
