Start up problems

Tottaly unsure if im in the right group but am not 100%
sure whats happening. whenever i turn my pc on i come to a
screen sayin 'we apologize for the inconvience but windows
did not start succesfully' and so on then it gives me the
options to start in:Safe mode, safe mode with
networking,safe modewith command promt, last known good
config and start windows normally, Now i have tried all
and the same thing happens i get to the loading screen
with the xp logo and the loading bar but after that it
pauses then reboots i cannot get any further than that any
help would be much obliged as i say im not atall sure what
im doing. thanks

Wait a few days to see if anyone else replies with a

better solution, I can only think you may have to
reinstall xp, but that is a last resort, sorry.
