hi
i have windows XP home, and when i start up it goes to the black screen with
the blue bar that goes across. At this point it just stays there, never
moves on. it will start in safe mode though. i had the same thing happen
about 2 weeks ago and i took it to be serviced. when they looked at it, it
started right up no problems, and searched it for any problems and nothing
came up. Just wondering what could be causing this.
thanks
Bill

Have you installed any hardware before this issue? In safe mode, go to Device Manager and see if there is some yellow or red advise .
