Start up> message> invalid root

didn't know windows had roots........
Get message: Invalid root in reg.key HKLM\ software........line 39,etc
click no and goes away. Want it to go away permanently. How? Trying to
correct all before SP2

Try a System restore back to a point before the error message started to
appear.
