Start up logon scripts

HI ..
I laptop users connectiong to a server2003 - as well as desktop users.
I run a script on the server that maps network drives for the users.

Desktop machines are OK, but the laptop users have on occasion "deleted" the
mapped drives that were created with the gui.
The laptop usres have different profiles on the machines, and they don't
always connect to the network.

Is there a way that I could run a script on the laptopsthat would map drives
when a user is on the network?- of course the drives will not be connected
when the user is not on the network.

I have a .bat script in the user startup folder that runs, where do I place
this file on the laptop , to make it execute similar to the sysvol\domain
folder on the server2003??
Waht do I do about a similar problem with the server printers??

Thanks in advance

If these laptops are Windows XP Pro then use the local Group Policy
Editor (gpedit.msc) to mapped the drives. You will see Logon Scripts
here:

Computer Config > Windows Settings > Scripts

or

User Preference > Windows Settings > Scripts

=======

Or use Group Policy for your Domain (Group Policy Management)

Use Group Policies to achive your desired results

Configure a Mapped Drive Item
