I just acquired this computer with my new position. I
want to remove the former employees name from the top of
the start menu and registration info for the software on
the computer. Any Ideas?

Make your own account and login to it (administrator
account) do not switch users, log off and then back on
under your account. Then go back to user accounts in CTRL
PANEL and delete the old account (you will be prompted to
save or delete all the files from the other users account)
If you save them they will be put in a folder on YOUR
desktop.

If you do not have admin privledges under the current
account, you will need to get a person that does to do
this.

Logging in under your name, puts your name at he top of
the start menu.

Don't waste time changing all the registered users for
software, most of it requires registry changes and most
everyone should stay out of the registry.
