Start menu

I have activex problems when browsing and to fix them I need to
click on 'Start' then 'run' unfortunately I do not have 'run' on my
'Start' menu! I have contacted Microsoft but they don't seem to
grasp what I'm saying as they keep telling me to click on 'Start'
then 'run' and I tell them I don't have 'run' on my Start menu and
so I go round in circles-total frustration!
I've tried reinstalling Windows XP but it makes no difference-any
help would be well received-Thank you-Ken

Sometimes if you have too many items trying to display on your start menu it
can stop particular ones from displaying

Right-click Start Button > Properties > Start Menu tab > Customize (across
from "Start menu") > Advanced

In the "Start Menu Items" section make sure "Run Command" has a tick by it >
ok

If it does already then try checking "Do not display this item" for a few of
the other options in the same place that you do not use
