How do you configure the Win2000 Start Menu.I see there is
a detailed article about configuring WIN XP but nothing
for WIN 2000. I've locked out eveything to the common user
except the Ctrl+Esc keys that show the Start Menu. his
computer runs a program and needs to be locked down to the
user. It would be helpful if the lockdown was only for the
users and not the administrator. Thanks, Mike

Configuration should be the same or similar as XP. I assume you are using gpedit.msc
to accomplish this. There are many settings for the start menu in user
configuration/administrative templates/start menu and task bar. These settings apply
equally to all users by default on non domain computers. See link below for an
unsupported hack that may work.Keep in mind that many Group Policy settings only hide
access and that you ultimately need to count on ntfs permissions to protect your
computer. --- Steve
