Hi Josh,
For Start Menu:
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar & Start Menu.
On the General tab, click to clear the Use Personalized Menus check box,
and then click OK
For Internet Explorer favorites:
In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
On the Advanced tab, click to clear the Enable Personalized Favorites Menu
check box, and then click OK.
Restart Internet Explorer.
NOTE: Personalized Menus simplifies the Programs menu by hiding items you
haven't used recently, while keeping all of your programs easily accessible
