How do make the items on the program menu listed in an ascending order ?

It's really annoying that the items on the Program menu in Windows such as
Accessories and Startup are not list in an ascending order by default! How
do you make them listed in ascending order on the program menu? With many
thanks

Right click on a program and select 'Sort by Name'.

I just did so, with a strange effect:

No menu appeared, instead my Mozilla window now is "stay on top" :-(
