Start Menu and My Computer glitches

I'm running XP Pro SP3, and for the second time I can't right click anything
on the Start Menu including all subfolders, unless I switch to the Classic
Start Menu. I fixed this once before, but can't remember how.

Also, for some reason my left pane in My Computer dissappeared and I can't
figure out how to bring it back. When I click on the Search or Folders
buttons, the pane appears, but I'm talking about the default pane when you
first open it up.

Any suggestions on either problem? Thanks in advance!!!

For your right click issue see if this helps.

Right click your Start button and select Properties from the menu.
Hit the Customize button on the Start menu page.
In Customize Start Menu, click on the Advanced tab.
On the Advanced tab, look in the Start menu items box and make sure "Enable
dragging and dropping" is checked.
Click OK twice.

As for your second question, go to Control Panel and open Folder Options. On
the General page, make sure "Show common tasks in folders" is selected.
Click OK. Check My Computer to see if the Common Tasks bar has been
restored.

Good luck
