start context menu missing

To whom it may concern;

Good day to you'all, I have a little problem with my computer. It just
started a couple of weeks ago and I have no idea what i did or how it
happened. The problem is this.

1st If you right click on the start button at the bottom left the
context menu does not appear.
2nd when you left click on the start button and go to programs if says
empty

Please can somebody help with these problems
I'm sure i must have done something to create this problem
