Start button appears in upper right hand corner

My start button has suddenly started appearing in the upper right hand corner of my screen. Does anyone know how to get it back down to the lower left corner?

Why did you drag it there?

Make sure your taskbar is unlocked.

Then click and hold on an EMPTY space near the time in the system tray
of the taskbar, and drag to your left and downward.

Then make sure your taskbar is locked.

What are the advantages to a locked taskbar other than the OP's problem?
