Start/ALL PROGRAMS

Jeff

I have XP home SP2

When I go Start/All Programs, my list of programs more than
fills the screen.

My difficulty is I can't find any way to read the rightmost
columns.

I can't navigate over there, nor can I move the whole
display left.

Firstly that sounds like far too many programs to have at start up. Best
thing to do is change your view to detailed so everything is in a list

I must have explained myself badly.

If I go START/ALL PROGRAMS I get a list of ALL my programs
not just those that run on Start Up.

What I would do:
Right-click on your start button, and choose Explore All Users. When you
have that open, you can start managing the shortcuts by creating
folders/nested folders, and move shortcuts therein.

That said, you might also check your display resolution settings.

Panic over, I found a fix on techsupportforum.com. Far
anybody with same problem:

- Right click your Start button and select Properties
- Click the Customize button
- Select the Advanced tab
- In the 'Start menu items:' section, scroll to 'Scroll
Programs' and place a check in the box
- Click OK then OK again
- Click Start - All Programs and there will now be a
scrolled menu

What is the resolution setting on the display dialog box and what size is
your monitor?

As I mentioned I found a fix.

As you imply I could also have solved the problem by
increasing resolution.
