Standby Problems

I can't get my PC to go into "standby". If I set it up to go into standby at
30 minutes or more it won't do it. If I set it up for 1 thru 5 minutes to
enter standby it will work. What would cause it to go into standby at 1
minute but not be able to go into standby at 30 minutes?

Could be a power supply problem.
Other possibilities are:
- Harddisk motor failed to spin-up (temperature change)
- Not-fully implemented Power Management feature in motherboard or some
extension cards.
- Power Management feature incompatibility betweeen motherboard and
extension cards or between extension cards.

Try to update motherboard/chipset drivers and update system BIOS.
If those didn't solve the problem, then it's a big possibility that it's a
hardware issue.
