standby is jinksted

when my windows xp home comes out of standby I loose my braod band internet conetion. I have to restart my computer in order to get my internet conection to work.

Are you wired, or wireless? I know when my laptop hibernates, I lose my
wireless connection for about a minute or so after the computer wakes up.

How long do you wait before restarting? My other wired computer also
takes 15 seconds or so to find the connection again after coming off
standby; that computer is also connecting through a USB adapter dongle
(old comp; no Ethernet card), so I need to wiggle the connector to make
Windows recognize it.
